DAY 1 of 40: “I woke up this morning the sunshine was shining I put on my happy face”

Today WAS the day, today IS the day. Excitement loomed as I know that ‘this is the beginning of the end’ I’m not sure I quite know what thatmeans but discovery here is the way…ONE DAY I will know.

So my alarm was set for 5:10am so that I can go to training at 5:30am. Instead of jumping out of bed, I stretched my arm to switch it off and back to lala-land I was.

Disappointing for someone who’s on a “40 Days to Ultimate Fitness” Tip.

“Always finish what you start”

I’m determined to do this and it will happen, there are 24 hours in a day, I didn’t manage to train in the morning, but that doesn’t mean I can’t do it later today, which was the plan….but I’ve missed that boat too. “It is your judgement of you that keeps you from joy and your expectations that make you unhappy.” 

Am I set for the 40 Days?

I’ve psyched myself up, I’ve read the necessary books (yawn) but I sat down and realized, NO-ONE knows me better that ME., thou shall not live up to the next person’s expectations of ME!!!

There are a couple of steps that I’d like all of us to put into place before we’re set on the journey

  1. Decide why you are doing this:
  • I need to inspire others in turn inspire and motivate myself that it’s ok to fast for personal gain, as opposed to the religious stigma put to it.
  • To loose -6kg in the space of 40 days.
  • Reconnect my spiritual being with my emotional/mental and physical being. All these need to work hand-in-hand to have a WHOLESOME you.
  • Give 40 motivations to you that inspire me and get me going.
  • There’s that role that I’m trying to attract to me: Keep your eyes glued to your TV sets.

If this is for weight-loss and spiritual freedom, then the following steps are necessary.>>>>>

Take those measurements:

  • I can’t believe I am doing this but it’s the only way: Currently I weigh 52 kg *dies slowly*.  Understand that I am only 1.52m tall, or should that be short.
  • Other measurements that you should jot down are: left and right thighs, buttocks, naval and waist. I will give you mine next week.

Draw up the eating /exercise plan:

I will be munching on more veggies, drinking more water (which has never been a problem) and smiling more often.

Do my best to make training NOT a negotiable thing.

Ok, let’s not bombard each other with ALL the tips in the world, we still have 40 DAYS to go. Hope you started out on a bigger bang than LadyTee.
